This series of paintings takes as its inspiration the seasons of the Church year.
​Additional paintings will be added as those seasons begin.

 (The word advent comes from the Latin prefix ‘ad-‘ ​meaning ‘to’ and the root ‘venire’ meaning ‘come’)
The Sundays of Advent are sometimes given names such as peace, love, joy, and hope.
